Camco-Standard Bank Structured Carbon Credits Transaction

Standard Bank structured and distributed 5.8 million carbon credits from 9 of Camco International’s Clean Development Mechanism projects in a tranched pool structure. In addition, Standard Bank used an innovative commodity finance structure to provide a limited recourse up front payment to Camco of €15 million. Many elements of the deal have never been done before in the carbon markets.

Refinancing Matola Gas Company, US$25.5 million, Long Term Debt Facility

Standard Bank was Mandated Lead Arranger of the refinancing for the US$25.5 million refinancing of the Matola Gas Company, a gas pipeline and distribution network in Matola, Mozambique.
